You can spend a lovely, most relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting.
Podere Brancaia is located in the heart of Tuscany, roughly 3 miles from the village of Castellina in Chianti. The estate is surrounded by a park-like garden right in the middle of 50 acres of vineyards, olive groves and fields.
Siena or San Gimignano can be reached in 30 minutes by car, Florence is just 45 minutes away, and in 90 minutes you are at the sea.
Brancaia is an old Tuscan estate. It was carefully restored and equipped with modern comfort in the early eighties. The external walls were left as they were, and inside, too, primarily old materials were used, so the estate satisfies high aesthetic standards.
There is a beautifully situated 50-feet swimming pool, also a little lake, about 660 feet long and 70 feet wide. You can play boccia or table tennis, horse-riding facilities are not far away (in Monteriggioni, for one), tennis courts can be rented in Siena and Poggibonsi.
The estate offers several separate apartments, very comfortable and pleasantly furnished: white walls, dark oak and chestnut furniture, burnt earthen floors, natural stone. Best-equipped Travertin kitchen-cum-living rooms (study has kitchenette) and beautiful Travertin bathrooms. All apartments with central heating and (except the study) an open fireplace.
For open-air relaxation, there are tables, chairs and deckchairs outside the house.
